Qatar
Qatar occupies the small Qatar Peninsula on the north-easterly coast of the larger Arabian Peninsula. An oil rich country, Qatar ranks as the 11th richest country in the world. With a high standard of living, year round sunshine, excellent employment and a booming economy, the real estate sector looks set to grow rapidly. Foreigners are now allowed to own property in designated projects (such as the Pearl Qatar project). The Government of Qatar has embarked on a privatization program designed to encourage and strengthen the Qatari private sector. Doha is the capital of the country and the major administrative, commercial, and population center.
